Why I Offer Donation-Based Services: A Love Note to My Community

When I first envisioned With Intent, I didn’t just want to create a business—I wanted to create a safe space. A space rooted in healing, in truth, and in love. A space where people could return to themselves without shame, pressure, or financial weight standing in the way. That’s why many of the offerings I share—like Ra Rising Kemetic Yoga and distance reiki—are donation-based.
This decision wasn’t made lightly. It came from DEEP reflection, DEEP prayer, and alignment with my purpose.

Healing Should Never Be A Luxury
Too often, healing practices are priced out of reach for the very communities that need them most. We carry generational trauma, daily stress, systemic harm—and we deserve tools to move through all of that with grace and power. But those tools shouldn’t only be accessible to those with disposable income.
By offering my services on a donation basis, I aim to dismantle that barrier. I want everyone to come as they are and give what they can—whether that’s money, energy, or simply their presence.
Rooted in Tradition, Guided by Spirit
In many African traditions, healing and care were not transactional. They were communal. The medicine woman, the healer, the spiritual guide—they did their work because it was their calling, and the community supported them in turn. That reciprocity, that trust, is what I’m channeling.
This model also aligns with how Spirit moves through me. I am simply a vessel. The healing that flows through my hands, my breath, my voice—it’s not mine to hoard or gatekeep.
What Donation-Based Really Means
Offering something on a donation basis doesn’t mean it’s free or without value. In fact, it means I trust you to honor the value in a way that aligns with your current capacity. Some give more, some give less—but all are welcome. It’s a model rooted in faith, in love, and in mutual respect.
This is Bigger Than Me
With Intent is not just my offering—it’s our movement. When you attend a class, receive reiki, or support in any way, you're not just receiving—you’re helping to sustain a sacred space for others, too.
So whether you’re able to donate or not, know this: you are worthy of healing. You are worthy of peace. You are always welcome here.
Sending you peace and tranquility. Asé.
