Full Moon Cleansing: My Practice + An Invitation

Every Full Moon, I feel a pull to pause and cleanse. It’s like the light of the moon shines on the things in me that are ready to be released — old thoughts, lingering emotions, habits I don’t want to carry forward. Cleansing during this time helps me feel lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself.
Sometimes my cleanse looks like drinking lots of water and herbal teas. Other times I keep my meals simple and raw, or I take a long salt bath to release the weight of the day. I love stepping outside under the moonlight, breathing deeply, and speaking out loud the things I’m ready to let go of. It feels like the moon listens and carries it away.
This practice isn’t always easy. Cleansing bring things to the surface, and that’s where community makes a difference. I’ve created a Full Moon Support Circle on GroupMe so we can move through this journey together. It’s a safe space to share what you’re releasing, encourage one another, and celebrate the renewal that comes with every moon cycle.
If you’ve been feeling the call to cleanse, to let go, or simply to be supported as you realign with your highest self, I’d love for you to join us: https://groupme.com/join_group/109888058/0EWZPiFm
Here’s a simple Full Moon ritual we’ll be practicing together in the group:
🌿 Hydrate + Nourish – Begin your day with water or herbal tea, keeping meals light and intentional.
🌿 Release through Writing – Journal what you’re ready to let go of. You can burn, tear, or bury the paper as a symbol of release.
🌿 Moonlight Meditation – Step outside under the moon, breathe deeply, and visualize yourself being cleansed in her light.
🌿 Set Intentions – Speak or write down what you’re calling in for the next cycle — clarity, peace, abundance, or anything your soul desires.
Together, we’ll hold space for one another as we release what no longer serves us and call in the energy we want to carry forward.
Let’s rise with the moon, together. 🌕✨
Sunday, Sept. 7 — Corn Moon
Monday, Oct. 6 — Hunter’s Moon
